  2. How Do You Taste? • Question: • How well do our tastebuds really work? Can people perceive the difference between flavors of Skittles candy? • Procedure • Each student will blindly taste ten Skittles candies (one at a time) and will guess which color they are tasting.

  3. DO IT!!!!!! • With Partner • One closes eyes, grabs one Skittle and devours it. Make a guess, write it down. • Partner will tell you correct color • X correct/incorrect box on results sheet • Switch roles • Repeat 10x

  4. Our Results • % Correct Per Person • Overall % Correct

  5. Graph it! • Histogram • Box and Whisker

  6. But what does it all mean? • Probability of guessing color if they all tasted exactly the same: _____ • Is this a significant difference? • Inference
