Introduction • Energy Engineering and Physics include a wide variety of disciplines and specializations, ranging from very practical, technology-driven fields to the study of the fundamental laws and structure of the universe. • Currently, the school has 4 major academic fields. • Alumni play prominent roles in leading industries and government in Iran

  4. Major Academic Fields • School of Energy Engineering and Physics offers: • B.Sc. Degree in Physics, • M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in: • Nuclear Engineering with the following distinctive divisions; nuclear reactor, nuclear fusion, medical radiation, and application of radiations. • Physics with the following divisions; atomics and molecular physics, condensed matter, high energy physics, and computational physics. • Cosmology Engineering • Photonics Engineering

Virtual Education Center • Under new developments made at AUT, the center of virtual education and distance learning is established for those who wish to continue their studies off-campus. • Through this development, M.Sc. program in application of radiation engineering is designed by the school. This center is equipped with personal computers and fast network to facilitate the program delivery.

  9. Iran School of Health Physics Radiation health physics is the fundamental science of vital need in any peaceful nuclear and radiation sciences, engineering and applications. Iran School of Health Physics is established to perform fundamental health physics and radiation dosimetry experiments to technically educate and provide practical training at academic and professional levels to university students and participants of the training programs for development of qualified health physics manpower for the country.

  10. National Projects-Small Cyclotron • Design and Manufacturing of Small Cyclotron The Cyclotron is capable of generating particle energies about 10 MeV. Conceptual design of cyclotron systems completed.

  13. National Projects-AlborzTokamak • Design and Construction of AlborzTokamak The Alborztokamak is a D-shape cross section tokamak that is under construction in Amirkabir University of Technology. Most important sections of Alborztokamak are: 1- Vacuum vessel system, completed and tested 2-Toroidal Field coils (TF), designed and constructed 2-Poloidal Field coils (PF), designed 3- Central Solenoid coils (CS), designed and constructed 4-Preionization system, designed 6- Structures, designed and constracted 7- Control system, completed
