  2. Key Words Write down the definitions. Would you trust a lustful person? Why/ why not? What sorts of behaviours are NOT chaste? **Does it matter how we use our sexuality? Why? • Dignity – having pride in yourself. Respecting the high value of the human person • Cherish – to value or treasure something highly. • Lust – A strong sexual desire for another person’s body • Chastity – to be sexual in a way that respects your dignity and the dignity of others

  3. The Language of the Body: why is the body important in RE? • Why is the body very important if you are a Christian? • What sort of feelings/emotions can you communicate through body language? Mindmap them. **What is the deepest thing we can communicate about ourselves through the body? Why?

  4. Pope John Paul II: “Theology of the Body” What is Pope John Paul II’s “theology of the body” based on? What is it about? **Does it surprise you that he learns so much from the story of Adam and Eve? Why? Pope John Paul IIwrote a book called “The Theology of the Body”. In it, the Pope discusses the story of Adam and Eve to find out what God created male and female bodies for. He discovers that God created us to love and be loved-in His image and likeness. God made men and women to be “for” each other, to live out a deep love in marriage that reflects God’s own life-giving love. Unfortunately, just like Adam and Eve, we can get things wrong.
