How can Makewaves support you further when engaging with your child's education? • Makewaves is the academy website ran by the students for the students • Makewaves is a tool that the students can use to share their success or experiences inside and outside the academy • Makewaves gives parents the opportunity to share their child's success and leave comments of encouragement on a particular story

  2. You can view Makewavesatwww.makewav.es/thestlawrenceacademy The screen shot on the left shows the St Lawrence Academy upload log for Makewaves. There are 11532 images. There are 4325 videos. There are 1995 documents. There are 2367 comments. All students are encouraged to join Makewaves

  3. Types of stories parents have contributed to share an experience with their child Theses comments illustrate how parents and other family members can share the experience and keep in touch while students were participating in the America trip

  6. How to comment on a story • Log onto Makewaves at • www.makewav.es/thestlawrenceacademy • Search for the story you want to comment on either through the channel heading or by clicking on Stories and then search

  7. How to comment on a story • Scroll down to the bottom of the story and you will see a comment box

  8. Complete the comment box

  9. Complete the email, name and input letters then click on Say this Your comment will appear as soon as Makewaves or a member of staff has approved it
