  5. m RADAR First receiver detects radar waves bounced back from the aeroplane.

  6. m RADAR Second receiver detects radar waves bounced back from the aeroplane.

  7. m RADAR Receiver stations send information to central co-ordinator. Using two receivers allows the position of the aeroplane to be pinpointed.
