  1. 10-11 Learning Target • I can analyze gender in popular television media. • Essential Question: How is gender portrayed in media?

  2. Vocabulary • The Last Temptation of Cory—an episode of “Boy Meets World” where Cory is hit on by another girl while Topanga isn’t around

  3. “Boy Meets World” • As we watch the episode, answer the comprehension questions about the episode on your worksheet. • Think about how men/women are portrayed in the show!

  4. Work Period • Answer the Gender Media Analysis Questions on your worksheet. • Use complete sentences and answer each question completely! • Write a paragraph on the back of your vocab sheet using all three words.

  5. Closing Response/Reflection • Closing: Is Cory the kind of guy that people should look up to? Why or why not? • Reflection: Based on the two types of media we saw this week, how does the media portray men and women differently? Use complete sentences!
