  5. Study hints and tips on Office of the PCC funding….. some do fund research, usually in conjunction with local universities. Identifying sources of funding….there are a number of sources of funding within the policy family and the university that you register with. Funding may depend on your specialism. Research council funding…..the Economic and Social Research Council also offer funding to postgraduate students so it is worth checking their website.   6. Reading ….. read, read, read... Make notes and put them in a word document that you can do a keyword search on them. Memory jogs….. use the camera to take pictures of 'memory jogs' as an updated version of flashcards. And it doesn't rely on having phone signal to work! Peer support….. you are not alone - as you can see from all of this shared advice and the discussions in the Academic Support Network there are many serving officers and staff developing both personally and professionally. If you're not sure, ask! Study hints and tips on • . Remembering .... use mind mapping to try and remember key things. Summarising key information on index cards can be helpful if you need to try and remember or learn something specific - just carry the card around with you and keep looking at it.
