ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR Outcomes • Understand the mission of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) • Understand the role of Club Foundation Officer • Understand APF, PolioPlus, and PF • Understand ways to give – mail, online, TRF Direct, via club • Be able to send in donations given via club • Understand Paul Harris Fellowship, Paul Harris Society, EREY, and sustaining members • Understand Recognition system • Know resources and contact persons • Understand access to various reports • Know about and how to obtain speakers regarding TRF • Know about training and information opportunities • Understand FVP qualification process • Understand how donations can be applied to particular grants

  4. ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR TRF MISSION STATEMENT To enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the elimination of poverty.

ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR ROLE OF THE CLUB FOUNDATION CHAIR Will vary from club to club $ Insure that members know what TRF is and what it does. $ Promote giving to TRF $ Facilitate that giving (making sure donations are sent in) $ Work to be sure goals are met (and hopefully exceeded) In some clubs: $ Involvement in the grant process (drafting, submitting, reporting, advising)

  10. ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR PolioPlus – Clubs have met $200 Million Challenge Still the need for funds. Not asking Rotarians to donate, but donations gratefully accepted. Each club asked to raise funds with community awareness of the need to eradicate Polio.

  11. ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR THE PERMANENT FUND Donations invested and only earnings are spent. Counts for Major Giving status, but not Paul Harris Fellowship.

  39. ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR FUTURE VISION Our District is part of the Future Vision Pilot Program. 100 of the ~534 Rotary districts are in the pilot. Future Vision for all districts will begin July 1. 2013

ROTARY FOUNDATION WEBINAR FUTURE VISION Two step process: Proposal and Application Global Grantssupport international service projects involving Rotary clubs or districts in two or more countries. Also included: Global Scholarships and VTTs. District Awarded Grantssupport humanitarian projects that benefit the local communities and beyond. A lot of flexibility.
