  2. About ME • I am a 9th year teacher • I have a 14 year old son named Carson and my husband is Matt • I have a dog named Duke • I love teaching!!

  3. MY GOALS • To make learning fun and interesting. • To create a positive learning environment. • To help you make new friends and respect their differences. • To create strong leaders.

  4. CLASSROOM RULES • Rule 1: Listen when your teacher is talking • Rule 2: Follow directions quickly • Rule 3: Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school • Rule 4: Raise your hand to speak or stand • Rule 5: Be safe, be honest

  5. Our Class Swag Tags • Swag tags are incentive tags that your child can earn for positive behavior, choices, and hard work that he/she makes during the school day. Swag tags are not meant to take home but can be looked at if you come into school to visit! We will also have them available when you come in for parent-teacher conferences. • Swag tags are earned when the teacher notices a choice or behavior that is done by a student that exceeds expectations.

Our Daily Schedule • 8:15 – 8:30: Morning Meeting • 8:30 – 8:35: Morning Preparation • 8:35 – 10:15: Reading • 10:15 – 11:35: Math • 11:35 – 11:50: Gross Motor • 12:00 – 12:25: Lunch • 12:25 – 1:00: Writing • 1:00 – 1:40: Related Arts • 1:45 – 2:00: Gross Motor • 2:00 – 3:00: RTI Reading & Math • 3:00 – 3:15: Theme • 3:15 – 3:25: Reflection • 3:25: Dismissal

  8. SPECIAL CLASSES Please look at the Specials Schedule to keep up with daily specials. On P.E. days please make sure your child wears tennis shoes and dresses appropriately. If they do not dress appropriately, they will not be able to participate.

  9. Transportation • Fill out how your child will be going home on the FIRST day of school. • Fill out how they will go home MOST of the time in the afternoon. • Communicate with your child how they will go home. If transportation changes, please contact the office (send a note or make a phone call).

  10. SUPPLIES See the list in your child’s envelope

LUNCH • Our scheduled lunch time is 12:00 – 12:25 • Lunch- $2.25 Breakfast- $1.25 • If you are planning to have lunch with your child, please meet us by the office. • Checks: Please make sure your child’s lunch number is written on their check. • www.mealpayplus.com is a great way to update your child’s lunch account

  12. FORMS, FORMS, FORMS! PLEASE sign and return the needed forms ASAP! Thanks!

  13. Parent Volunteers • If you can come in and volunteer during the school day, SIGN UP! • If I can send things home with your child to be cut out, glued, etc. … SIGN UP! • If you can come in and volunteer with curriculum activities during the school day, please SIGN UP! • Your help is always needed, welcomed, and appreciated!

  14. Room Parent(s) • Takes care of ALL parties by communicating to parents and helps to organize supplies. • Volunteers when possible. • Any other help is appreciated!

  15. Before you leave remember to: • Complete the emergency card in your child’s envelope and leave it with me. • Fill out the Allergy Form and leave with me. • Fill out the first day transportation note and leave it with me. • Stop by the gym for information on buses, PTO, car riders, etc. • Get information on lunches in the cafeteria.
