  1. Logical Fallacies IV Begging the Question & Circular Reasoning) Red Herring Two-Wrongs-Make-A-Right

  2. Can Jack quit smoking?  Of course he can. All he has to do is refuse to smoke another cigarette. • "No, no, he's a friend of mine. He's not a moron at all -- he's a friend. I had a good time with him today." Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, responding to reports that his chief spokesman had called President George W. Bush a moron. (Newsweek, 2 Dec. 2002)

  3. This was Indian Territory once. Sure, the white settlers didn’t always treat the Indians very nicely, or always live up their treaties.  But there can be no question but that we have every right to be here and to enjoy this rich land. After all, we brought civilization to the Indians, a clearly superior way of life. You'd think they'd be grateful.

  4. I don’t feel guilty at all for illegally downloading songs from the internet. Those recording companies have been ripping off fans for years. It’s about time they got some of their own medicine.

  5. "He is purple — the gay-pride color, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle — the gay pride symbol." – • from a "Parents Alert" issued in Jerry Falwell's National Liberty Journal, warning that "Tinky Winky," a character on the popular PBS children's show, "Teletubbies," may be gay

  6. Paranormal phenomena exist because I have had experiences that can only be described as paranormal. • You’re not going to cheat in school anymore, right?

  7. You’ve got some nerve for criticizing me for cheating on my taxes when we both know you’ve been falsifying your business books for years. • You can’t give me a C.  I’m an A student!
