  2. How to Get Your Money • You do not have to do anything • Shawnee State will send a check (for most of you they already have)

  3. What Can You Buy • You cannot purchase hardware • You can provide food at meetings, pay travel expenses, and buy focus books and other materials. • Your proposal budget outlines how you will use your money.

  4. Expectations • Develop a professional learning community • The community must meet regularly • The community must work toward achieving the goals set forth in the grant proposal

  5. Expectations • All members must attend: • Fall Kickoff Event (today) • Mid-Year Learning Institute at Shawnee State • scheduled for March 6, 2009 • Statewide end-of-year Learning Expo in Columbus (May or June?)

  6. Expectations • Develop resources and achieve outcomes which can be shared statewide • Post on E-Learning Athenaeum • http://www.cscc.edu/oln/

  7. Expectations • Use the rubric designed by OLN to assess PLC activity throughout the year • Use the learning outcomes as a guide to community activities throughout the year

  8. Expectations • Complete a Portrait of Practice • Part I due at the time of the mid-year Learning Institute • Part II due at the time of the statewide expo

  9. Expectations • Submit a final financial report by July 31. • Report should include a detailed listing of purchases and expenses and summaries of how actual expenditures compare with budgeted expenses. • Must include institutional match • Forms will be provided electronically.
