E-Mail Notification for MET/CAL Based on METDaemon technology.
E-Mail Notification Cont.... Utilizes On Time Support's new METDaemon Technology. Easy Installation – Usually does not require a server re-boot. No ODBC to configure. No Client Installation. Client can be any kind of computer as long as it has a current web browser (Must support JavaScript, CSS 1.0, DOM 1.0). E-Mail Notification is an application for the OTS METDaemon.
Benefits of an E-Mail System? Messages may include notifications that instruments are due for calibration, escalation reports, instruments significantly out of tolerance, instruments due for pickup, or even customer feedback surveys. Messages are automatically sent from a schedule which the user determines by using a simple web-based interface. E-Mails are HTML formatted that may or may not contain data to a list of recipients. Reports are generated via an SQL Query. Reports are in-line, not attachments. Recipient lists may include a group of people, be sent to an individual, or sent to both groups and individuals. There is no limit to the number of groups, nor is there a limit to the number of groups an individual may be included in.
So, what was the customer reaction to E-Mail Notification? Reaction has been great! As usual customers came up with new ways to use the product and asked for more info..... Escalation reports have been a big request. A newsletter is now available. Documentation of out of tolerance events can be E-Mailed to the customer.
Customer Comments Comments like: It cut way down on phone calls to the lab. Eliminated the redundant reporting process. Customers like the fact that they can use any computer anywhere (within the network) to manage the E-Mail system (no client install). Easy Installation, no server rebooting, no Installshield. Reports can be made quickly, in minutes.
E-Mail Notification Cont... Sold by Fluke and OTS OTS has two Quick Start Options: 5 Reports and one format. 10 Reports and two formats. OTS will require the customer database or customization. Works with any E-Mail system using SMTP. OTS part #: 5080, 5080-5PKG, 5080-10PKG
Label Printers.... This a true network label printer. Uses standard RJ45 network connector. The printer is addressed via TCPIP. True Bi-Directional Communication provides feedback to the operator. Power Requirements Voltage inputs are 100-240V at 50-60Hz. All you need is a PC style power cord. We have packaged everything inside and there are no messy power bricks or power cords to deal with.
Printer Cont .... You can have as many printers as you want. We offer printer clustering. Crystal Reports are configured to address specific printers. Windows profiles are not a factor during installation. Installation is easy.
Custom Printer Clusters Are Available We offer 3, 4, and 5 Printer Packages. A 5 Port Switch is included along with custom length network cables. You could have different size cartridges in each printer allowing the lab a lot of flexibility.
Barcode Magician Basic/Plus Barcode Magician Plus has really become popular . Batch Calibration saves a lot of time. Ease in creating Repair records. More powerful SQL Queries if they are needed. Allows the user to add new assets. Basic and Plus stations can exist on the same system. Working on language translations. A great way to automate your database.
Metrology Xplorer History On October 1, 1999 OTS released the Metrology Xplorer series. METEX1 gained a reputation for being extremely fast and reliable. METEX1 has a special site license. METEX1 supports Crystal Reports and SQL Reports. Many people thought that using a web browser to look at data was a dumb idea.
Q4 2006 – Metrology Xploer 2 Yes, its really coming. Looks and feels just like MET/TRACK 7. Does not replace Metrology Xplorer 1. Metrology Xplorer 2 is also designed to operate with large databases. There is no client installation, just use the browser. Server support is Windows based, with Unix coming soon.
Metrology Xplorer 1.2 Metrology Xplorer 1.2 is released to support MET/CAL/TRACK version 7.1 Standards can now be displayed in the calibration screen for each calibration record. New style sheets and "Themes" have been added to present a pleasing and interesting display. Six different themes are available. Custom backgrounds are also avalible. If you contact us we may be able to create it for you.
METEX 1.2 Cont...... A major improvement is the use of Crystal Reports 10. It is now much easier to configure a Crystal Report for Metrology Xplorer 1.2. You can now select from a list of calibration histories after you have selected an Asset. Several customers have asked for this feature. This means you or your customer can print separate AS-FOUND and AS-LEFT certificates via the Web Browser.
Metrology Xplorer 2 Uses the OTS METDaemon There is a major requirement for METEX2 Companies are starting to eliminate Desktop PC's in favor of dumb graphics terminals. METEX2 eliminates ODBC configuration. Everything runs from the METDaemon. Because of some new OTS Technology, the application acts like a compiled C or VB app. No Install Shield. No Server Reboots.
Metrology Xplorer 2 It provides the same basic functionality as MET/TRACK allowing data to be entered into the database. No Client Installation Necessary
METEX2 - More METEX2 will release during September. Any customer that purchases a license will receive free updates for one year. METEX2 operates very much like MET/TRACK except: Currently does not support Crystal Reports. Uses SQL Reports from the METDaemon. Results support MET/CAL Classic Format. Only Supports English at this time but other languages will be added.
Customer Comments on METEX2 Most Customers that have evaluated Metrology Xplorer 2 have commented that they forgot they were using a browser.
METEX1 METEX2 Site License View Only SQL Reports Crystal Reports Yes Desktops No Lookup/Validation No Floating License Add/Edit/Delete Data SQL Reports Crystal Reports No Desktops Yes Lookup/Validation Yes METEX2 does not replace METEX1. The licensing is different for both products. We are also looking at another METEX1 release.
