Future of the IPP Project • JSI Denver is Lead • Each region participating in data collection efforts • Designed to provide insight on how to: • Strengthen IPP in context of PPACA • Improve and leverage partnerships • Maintain IPP’s role in communicating best practices • Address service area gaps • Anticipate changes in data collection and reporting practices

Methodology • Review of health reform literature • Primary data collection involving regional AB members • Review, synthesis and analysis of secondary data sources • Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) • HRSA workforce study • IOM report - The Future of Nursing report • Census data: state population, females 15-44 years of age, and estimated population in need • IPP screening data: number of IPP screening tests reported and positivity

Overarching Evaluation Questions • Who will IPP client base be after full implementation of health care reform? • How can we best reach IPP client base?   • What is the role for IPP to help facilitate Chlamydia and Gonorrhea screening services to vulnerable populations after ACA is fully implemented? • How can we improve data management practices to improve service delivery and targeting?

What does it mean for you? • Primary Data Collection: • IPP Project Area Profiles and State PPACA Implementation Profiles • Key Informant Interviews and Clinic Survey/Assessment (Regional and National) • Survey of core IPP service providers (Regional) • Primary target group(s) : • Advisory Board Committee • IPP screening providers • Other key stakeholders

  6. Upcoming Surveys • IPP Family Planning and STD State Partner Survey • IPP Laboratory Partner Survey • IPP Clinic Capacity Survey • Each survey 20-30 minutes

  7. When? • Key Informant Interviews • Begin scheduling in late June • Completed by August 5th • Surveys • IPP Family Planning and STD State Partner Survey – July • IPP Laboratory Partner Survey – July • IPP Clinic Capacity Survey – August

  8. How will the data be used? • Analyzed and reported in six domains 1. Insurance Coverage 2. Health Information Technology 3. Innovation and Quality Improvement 4. Minority Health/Health Disparities 5. Workforce 6. Prevention • Report used by CDC to repurpose IPP • Program to complement PPACA services
