  2. Last week • Set up the compiler and netcdf system for omgsrv3: Compile the 2011 intelifort composer with 2011 iccc compiler. Compile 2011 ifort with netcdf 4.0.1version without netcdf Run upwelling case with openmp: For a 41*80*16 grid, with 30 threads, it takes 61 seconds to finish a 5-day simulation. Not too bad. Same system should be able to be implemented for 3DVAR or any ROMS-based simulation.

  3. This week • Do a realistic model simulation in omgsrv3 and find out the optimal way to utilize the resources. • A float experiment at HPC he2 nodes. Still working on it. If possible please accommodate at least 56 processors for me to test because float experiment may runs slow. • Revise any manuscript when I get feedback from Roy
