  2. Ericsson Hungary LTD Workpackage Nr. 2 Progress in WP2 A2.1 • We have no valuable contribution yet, because we have concentrated on the two other activities (2.2 and 2.3). • Most of our resources will be used in the second year of the project for this activity. NOBEL Plenary Sept 2004

Ericsson Hungary LTD Workpackage Nr. 2 Progress in WP2 A2.2.1 • The model of the dynamic wavelength selection and routing algorithm is ready – the implementation of the method is on-track. • Description of a generalized hierarchical network model and proposed general model for intra- and inter domain routing is almost finished and they have already been included into the Route Management Report. • Research activity on random routing is started. Now we are in the task definition phase. NOBEL Plenary Sept 2004

Ericsson Hungary LTD Workpackage Nr. 2 Progress in WP2 A2.3 • ETH has started to write a draft document about • the open planning and optimization problems that appears when the operator want to consider the time-dependent changes of the traffic matrix. (daily changes, weekly changes etc.) • Strategies for long-term network extension tasks considering different cost models. • This document will included into the D15 report. NOBEL Plenary Sept 2004
