  1. The Freshwater Wetland By Cate

  2. Location Wetlands can be found all over the world. The only continent that has no wetlands is Antarctica. Wetlands are often found along the edges of rivers and lakes. They might just be holes filled up with rainwater. U.S Wetlands map

  3. Diversity Wetlands are very diverse among other biomes. Unlike most other biomes, they are mostly water. But unlike the marine biome, the ground does not even have to be covered with a thick layer of water, the ground only has to be very moist to be considered a wetland. Wetland Pictures

  4. Animals of the Wetland There are many animals of the wetland. Mammals include otters and beavers. There are many different birds, such as ducks, geese, herons, and egrets. There are some amphibians, too, such as frogs, toads, and salamanders. Reptiles are crocodiles, alligators, and turtles. One of the main animals, however, are fish. These animals have all adapted to the hot and moist conditions very well.

  5. Plants of the Wetland Plants of the wetland include bullthistle, duckweed, and wildflowers. One of the most commonly known plants are cattails. These plants have had to adapt to a large amount of water and sun, and survived, while most plants would not have. Cattail Plant Water Lily
