How can QUArk Tools HELP CCGs? • The business of a CCG is commissioning (buying services) • Choosing which organisations are offering the best quality of service requires INFORMATION (information is processed DATA) • ANSWER : A key feature of ALL dashboards generated by the QUArk Indicator Tool for CCGs is the exposure to and functionality to assist with the analysis of quality information • QUArk dashboards handle both financial (e.g. Cost of Stay) and performance (e.g. Length of Stay) indicators • QUArk dashboards handle both physical and mental health activity • The QUArk data model reflects the new / transitioned NHS structure OUT go: SHAs, PCTs IN come: NHS England (& regions), CCGs, Locations + Primary and Social Care

The STORY : CCGs help NHS organisations to save money … • There is a view that some general practices are spending significantly more money on drugs than they need • The following screen shots are taken from a dashboard generated by the QUArk Indicator Tool for CCGs • The data is made up of: • REAL prescribing data • sample health integeratedpathways • an NHS organisation structure which is made up of both real and sample data BUT reflects the new / transitioned structure

  5. The dashboard is made up of 3 indicators: cancer Referrals (cREF); Drugs Prescribed (PDRUG); Actual Cost of Drugs prescribed (PDRUG£) … select the indicator PDRUG£ (average drug cost)
