  3. EXPONENTS Exponents is what you do next in a problem if used in the problem, after you do the problem with the parenthesis 1st 7*8+6² What you do 1st is the exponents then do the multiplication. 6² = 6*6

  4. Multiply • After you do the exponents, then you do the part that you multiply at if it is use in a problem. • 45/5*2 • In this problem you do the division 1st because the rules of PEMDAS is you do the multiplication or division 1st which ever one comes 1st

  5. DIVISION • Division is the 4th step you do next in a problem if needed. In this problem below you do multiplication 1st cause the rules of PEMDAS is out of multiplication and division • 45*2/30

  6. Adding and Subtracting • The rules of adding and subtracting is that which ever comes 1st you do first out of subtraction and addition
