  1. Five Steps To Heaven Continue by left clicking your mouse or use the arrow keys on your keyboard.

  2. Step 1 Acknowledge that you have sinned. The Bible says in Romans 3:10 and 23 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” How many have sinned? God says, “ALL HAVE SINNED.” Do you believe you have committed any sins in your life?

  3. Step 2 Realize there is a penalty for sin. “For the wages of sin is DEATH….” Romans 6:23a “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers (those who commit sexual sins), and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the SECOND DEATH.” This also includes a second death. Revelation 21:8 tells us what the second death is and who will experience it.

  4. The SECOND DEATH is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire, a terrible place God calls “Hell” many times in the Bible. We read the word “murderers.” A person would have to murder just one individual to be a murderer. We also read the word “liars.” A person would have to tell just one lie to be a liar. If you have told any lies in your life, God looks upon you as a liar. Notice that God already has said, “All liars – not just some liars or most liars – all liars have their part in the lake that burns with fire.” So far from what we have seen in God’s Word, where would you go if you died right now?

  5. Romans 5:8 says that Christ did pay the penalty: “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ DIED FOR US.” Step 3 Acknowledge that Jesus Christ paid the penalty of sin for you. Remember that the penalty for sin is separation from God. Jesus experienced this for us when He hung on the cross. God laid the sins of the world on Jesus, and Jesus became separated from God the Father. That is why Jesus cried out from the cross, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” Of course, Jesus Christ arose from the dead three days later.

  6. Eternal life is eternal union with God which begins now and will continue in heaven the instant we die physically. If we receive God’s gift of eternal life, we shall go to heaven the minute we die. Step 4 Realize that God wants to give you the gift of eternal life in heaven. Romans 6:23b tells us the good news: “The gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

  7. God promises in Romans 10: 9 and 10: “That if thou shalt confess with thy MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the HEART man believeth unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH confession is made unto salvation.” Step 5 You must believe that Jesus is the Lord and ask Him to save you in order to have eternal life in heaven. When we believe in our HEART that Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead, God gives us His very own righteousness. But there is also something we do with our MOUTH.

  8. Romans 10:13 says: “For whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved.” God promises that He will save anyone from sin and hell who calls on the Lord Jesus Christ and asks Christ to be his Savior and to save him. Call on the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer. Tell Him that you are receiving Him as your personal Savior and ask Him to save you and to give you eternal life in heaven.

  9. 5. Believe in Christ and ask Him to save you. Let’s Review 4. God wants to give you eternal life in heaven. 3. Christ paid your penalty. 2. There is a penalty for sin. 1.You have sinned.

  10. To ask Jesus to save you, you can pray this prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God and that you died for me. Forgive my sins. I ask you to be my Savior from sin and to save my soul. Give me your gift of eternal life in heaven. Help me now to live for You. I pray in your name. Amen.” Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, pray the prayer right now from your heart.

  11. Remember God’s Promises: “He that believes on the Son has everlasting life.John 3:36 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Romans 10:13

  12. Did you sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and ask Him to forgive your sins and to save you? If so, you are saved and on your way to heaven. Otherwise God would be breaking His promises which would make Him a liar and that is impossible. (Titus 1:2) Assurance Take God at His Word. Say, “God promised it. I believe it – I’m saved!” Do not depend on your feelings for assurance, but rather God’s Word. Your feelings will change from day to day, even as the weather changes. God’s Word will never change.

  13. God’s will for you now is that you grow spiritually. (II Peter 3:18) Here is how you can achieve spiritual growth: G – go to a Bible – believing church faithfully. R – read the Bible daily. O – obey the Lord by being baptized. W– witness for Jesus Christ regularly. T – take time to pray daily. H– honor God by tithing. The first thing the Lord wants you to do is to publicly confess Him before others (Matthew 10:32, 33). When the invitation is given at the end of the church service, go forward and let the Pastor tell the congregation you have been saved through Christ.
