  1. Hello! Welcome to Ecclesall Infant School. We hope you enjoy finding out about us. I’m Mrs Hardy and I’m the Headteacher

  2. We have 6 classrooms and there are 30 children in each class. Our youngest children are 4 years old and our oldest children are 7.

  3. We learn phonics, literacy and maths every morning. In the afternoons we do art, PE, RE, science and music. We learn about geography and history too. We are writing a story.

  4. We’re doing our maths work here! In the afternoon we do our art work. We are making African animal masks here.

  5. Here we are at our Maths Workshop – some of our mums and dads came to help us. We used lots of different things and played games to help us learn about fractions and measuring.

  6. Every morning we have playtime. We play with our friends on our playground. Sometimes we play football or we play on our adventure trail and climbing wall.

  7. At lunchtime we eat lunch in our dining room. Some children bring a packed lunch from home and some have a school meal cooked by our school cook.

  8. Every week we go into our Wildlife Garden to learn outside. In our pond we have frogs and newts – we try to catch them with our nets and then we put them back in the water when we have looked at them.
