  2. PYSICAL FEATURES The St. Lawrence lowlands is made up of plains , hills, and filled with rivers and streams. The tides come in twice a day.

  3. Climate • It is cold and snowy in the winter. In the summer it can get really hot. The coldest parts of the St. Lawrence lowlands arenear the Atlantic ocean.

  4. Vegetation • The St. Lawrence lowlands is filled with different types of trees and lots of forests. The forests have these types of trees Birch, Maple, and Walnut trees. The most common 2 trees are Pine and Spruce.

  5. Natural Resources • St. Lawrence Lowlands is the best farming region inCanada. It has the best waterwaysystem in Canada. The most common fruits they grow are peaches, apples, and grapes.

  6. Animal Life There are lots of different types of animals that live in the St. Lawrence lowlands. The most common non flying animals are white- tailed deer , squirrels , coyotes , moose , wolves , snowshoe hares , and lynx. Flying birds that live there are, Warblers, red- winged blackbirds , and , bluebirds.

Helping words • Plains- A flat grassy area in the world. • Tides- It is when water gets pulled all of the way to the back of an ocean , lake , or stream. • Common – Something seen a lot or all the time. E.g. ( your mom is common to you) • Waterway system- Are only a part of the St. Lawrence lowlands because it has tons of water. • Lynx- Type of a wild cat that has pointy ears and usually has gray fur.
