Food Products • Buy organic and local food products. • When food is locally grown, they don’t have to travel, which in turn helps improve your carbon footprint. • (coffee often has a large carbon footprint, due to the distance most coffee beans have to travel in order to be sold) • Bottled water has a huge carbon footprint. Due to the fact that the water is bottled in plastic at one location and then shipped all over the world.

  5. Travel/Shopping • When shopping, try to window shop or browse first, there for you will only buy what you need, or really want and not impulse buying. • Take a direct Flight: • If you need to travel, try taking a direct flight if possible, as apposed to taking multiple passenger jets, which will impact your carbon footprint negatively.

  6. Home Life • Simple tasks such as: • Turning of your light, TV, DVD Player, Computer when you leave the room will begin to reduce your carbon footprint immediately. • If you have central Air/Heating, turning it down be even 1 degree, will even help reduce your heating bill by 8%.
