Individual Assistance Program (IA) Grants to homeowners for repair, replacement, short term rental assistance and other needs – Insurance 1st Maximum Grant $30,200 (FY11) - State pays 25% of ONA Public Assistance Program (PA) Reimbursement to State, local governments, Tribal Nations and Non-Profits Cost share 75% Federal 25% State/Local - 12.5% Split In Kind Match For emergency and permanent work (infrastructure) Robert T. Stafford Act FEMA Recovery Programs Disaster Recovery Fund

  9. Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs • Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program (PDM) • Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) • Repetitive Flood Claims (RFC) • Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) • 406 Mitigation (Infrastructure Protection) • 404 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Pre-Disaster Post-Disaster

Priorities & projects based on County and State Plans #1 Priority – Acquisition of homes in floodplain Voluntary program > 500 properties acquired Other projects: Flood proofing, storm shelters, weather radios, detention ponds 55 Counties have approved plans or have started planning State pays 12.5% of non Federal share in HMGP Pre Disaster grants are from annual allocations FMA, RFC, and SRL are only for flood insurance properties Wisconsin Mitigation

  11. Small Business Administration (SBA) Low interest loans for home owners, renters and businesses of all sizes 25 Homes or 25 Businesses or Combination w/40% uninsured losses Declaration under its own statutory authority Non-FEMA Disaster Assistance
