  2. Objectives • Determine correlation between RSSI and distance. • Find relationship between packet loss and RSSI. • Examine the effect of delay upon distance.

  3. Testing Method • TELNET into one of the non-gateway nodes and placed it close to the gateway. • Pinged the other non-gateway node, varying the distance by using the fact that 1 tile = 1 foot.

  7. Lessons Learned • Obstacles can cause significant interference (loss in RSSI) • Distance does not greatly impact delay • Do not see significant packet loss until RSSI approaches -92dBm • RSSI is not highly correlated with distance
