  2. Soil Soil is an important component of the natural environment. Only in the last few years has soil protection become very important. The Soil of Saxony is very fertile, bringing agriculture to the region.

  4. Climate Our climate is changing. The consequences of climate change are also felt in Saxony: Mild winters, dry summers, floods and storms.

  5. The Free State of Saxony has therefore presented an action plan regarding climate and energy. It introduces measures to reduce both greenhouse gas emissions and facilitate adaptation to climate change.

  6. Air • Changes in the natural composition of air such as smoke, dust, gases, fumes or odors are called air pollutants.
