Five Themes of Geography • Location – Where is it? • Relative – Not exact/Approximate • Absolute – Definite/Accurate • Place – What’s it like? • Human-Environment Interaction – How do they affect each other? • Movement – Transporting goods/services & people moving • Region – how is it classified? • Vernacular – By speech/”the South” • Formal – Defined by boundaries/pizza delivery area

  15. Create… Draw a map of this classroom. Be sure to include a map key and map scale. The distances should be based on a educated guess. Be sure to use a ruler to draw out the map and make sure to add color

  16. Additional Homework Draw a map of your neighborhood. Be sure to include a map key, map scale, and explain what type of map it is. Use a ruler to draw it out and make sure you place objects proportionately. Due tomorrow!
