La ansiedad es un elemento muy importante en psicopatología y está presente en la mayor parte de los trastornos psicológicos y psicosomáticos, representando el problema más frecuente de ellos. De forma subjetiva, algunos autores la definen como una reacción emocional acompañada de sentimientos negativos como tensión, aprensión y nerviosismo, asociados a una activación del sistema autónomo. No se concibe como algo unitario, sino que implica tres componentes de respuesta; motor o conductual, cognitivo y fisiológico. FACTORES PREDISPONENTES: La categoría del trastorno de ansiedad generalizado se caracteriza por una ansiedad general y persistente, acompañada de manifestaciones físicas y preocupación excesiva.
