4. 2For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. 2เพราะว่าผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดที่พูดภาษาแปลกๆได้ไม่ได้พูดกับมนุษย์แต่ทูลต่อพระเจ้าเพราะว่าไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดเข้าใจได้แต่เขาพูดเป็นความล้ำลึกฝ่ายพระวิญญาณ

7. 5Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

9. 6Now, brothers,if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?

10. 6นี่แหละพี่น้องทั้งหลายถ้าข้าพเจ้ามาหาท่านและพูดภาษาแปลกๆจะเป็นประโยชน์อะไรแก่ท่านเล่าเว้นเสียแต่ข้าพเจ้าจะพูดกับท่านโดยให้คำวิวรณ์หรือให้ความรู้หรือเผยพระวจนะหรือสั่งสอน6นี่แหละพี่น้องทั้งหลายถ้าข้าพเจ้ามาหาท่านและพูดภาษาแปลกๆจะเป็นประโยชน์อะไรแก่ท่านเล่าเว้นเสียแต่ข้าพเจ้าจะพูดกับท่านโดยให้คำวิวรณ์หรือให้ความรู้หรือเผยพระวจนะหรือสั่งสอน

11. 7If even lifeless instruments, such as the flute or the harp, do not give distinct notes, how will anyone know what is played? 7แม้สิ่งซึ่งไม่มีชีวิตที่ทำเสียงได้เช่นปี่และพิณเป็นต้นถ้าเสียงนั้นดังไม่ชัดใครจะรู้ได้อย่างไรว่าเขาเป่าหรือดีดทำนองอะไร

13. 9So with yourselves, if with your tongue you utter speech that is not intelligible, how will anyone know what is said? For you will be speaking into the air. 9ท่านทั้งหลายก็เป็นเช่นนั้นถ้าท่านไม่ใช้ภาษาพูดที่เข้าใจได้ง่ายเขาจะเข้าใจคำพูดนั้นได้อย่างไรท่านก็จะพูดเพ้อตามลมไป

16. 12So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church. 12เหตุฉะนั้นเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายกำลังร้อนใจแสวงหาของประทานฝ่ายพระวิญญาณแล้วก็จงอุตส่าห์กระทำตัวของท่านให้สามารถที่จะทำให้คริสตจักรจำเริญขึ้น

17. 13Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret. 13เหตุฉะนั้นคนที่พูดภาษาแปลกๆได้นั้นควรจะอธิษฐานขอให้แปลได้ด้วย

18. 14For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my mind is unfruitful. 14เพราะถ้าข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานเป็นภาษาแปลกๆใจของข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานก็จริงแต่ความคิดก็ไม่เป็นประโยชน์

19. 15What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also. 15ถ้าเช่นนั้นข้าพเจ้าควรจะทำประการใดข้าพเจ้าจะอธิษฐานด้วยใจและด้วยความคิดและจะร้องเพลงด้วยใจและด้วยความคิด

22. 18I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 18ข้าพเจ้าขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าข้าพเจ้าพูดภาษาแปลกๆมากกว่าท่านทั้งหลายอีก

23. 19Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue. 19แต่ว่าในคริสตจักรข้าพเจ้าพอใจที่จะพูดสักห้าคำด้วยความคิดเพื่อเป็นคติแก่คนอื่นดีกว่าที่จะพูดหมื่นคำเป็นภาษาแปลกๆ

24. 20Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. 20ดูก่อนพี่น้องทั้งหลายความคิดของท่านอย่าให้เป็นอย่างเด็กในเรื่องความชั่วร้ายจงเป็นอย่างทารกแต่ฝ่ายความคิดจงให้เป็นอย่างผู้ใหญ่

25. 21In the Law it is written, “By people of strange tongues and by the lips of foreigners will I speak to this people, and even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord.” 21ในธรรมบัญญัติมีคำเขียนไว้ว่า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า “เราจะพูดกับชนชาตินี้โดยคนต่างภาษาและโดยริมฝีปากของคนต่างด้าวถึงกระนั้นเขาก็จะไม่ฟังเรา”

26. 22Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a signnot for unbelievers but for believers. 22เหตุฉะนั้นการพูดภาษาแปลกๆจึงไม่เป็นหมายสำคัญแก่คนที่เชื่อแต่เป็นนิมิตแก่คนที่ไม่เชื่อแต่การเผยพระวจนะนั้นไม่ใช่สำหรับคนที่ไม่เชื่อแต่สำหรับคนที่เชื่อแล้ว

27. 23If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds? 23เหตุฉะนั้นถ้าคริสตจักรมีการประชุมแล้ว คนทั้งปวงต่างก็พูดภาษาแปลกๆ และมีคนที่รู้ไม่ถึงหรือคนที่ไม่เชื่อเข้ามาเขาจะมิเห็นไปว่าท่านทั้งหลายคลั่งไปแล้วหรือ

28. 24But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all, 24แต่ถ้าทุกคนเผยพระวจนะคนที่ไม่เชื่อหรือคนที่รู้ไม่ถึงเข้ามาทุกคนก็จะทำให้เขารู้สึกสำนึกและทำให้เขาพิจารณาจิตใจของตนเอง

30. Orderly Worship26What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

31. 26ดูก่อนพี่น้องทั้งหลายจะว่าอย่างไรกันเมื่อท่านประชุมกันบางคนก็มีเพลงสดุดีบางคนก็มีคำสั่งสอนบางคนก็มีคำวิวรณ์บางคนก็พูดภาษาแปลกๆบางคนก็แปลข้อความท่านจงกระทำทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างเพื่อให้เขาจำเริญขึ้น26ดูก่อนพี่น้องทั้งหลายจะว่าอย่างไรกันเมื่อท่านประชุมกันบางคนก็มีเพลงสดุดีบางคนก็มีคำสั่งสอนบางคนก็มีคำวิวรณ์บางคนก็พูดภาษาแปลกๆบางคนก็แปลข้อความท่านจงกระทำทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างเพื่อให้เขาจำเริญขึ้น

32. 27If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. 27ถ้าผู้ใดจะพูดภาษาแปลกๆจงให้พูดเพียงสองคนหรืออย่างมากที่สุดก็สามคนและให้พูดทีละคนและให้อีกคนหนึ่งแปล

33. 28But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God. 28แต่ถ้าไม่มีผู้ใดแปลได้ก็ให้คนเหล่านั้นอยู่เงียบๆในที่ประชุมและให้พูดกับตัวเองและทูลต่อพระเจ้า

34. 29Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. 29ฝ่ายพวกผู้เผยพระวจนะนั้นให้พูดสองคนหรือสามคนและให้คนอื่นวินิจฉัยข้อความที่เขาพูดนั้น

35. 30If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. 30ถ้ามีสิ่งใดทรงสำแดงแก่คนอื่นที่นั่งอยู่ด้วยกันให้คนแรกนั้นนิ่งเสียก่อน

36. 31For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, 31เพราะว่าท่านเผยพระวจนะได้ทีละคนเพื่อให้ทุกคนได้ความรู้และได้รับความหนุนใจ

37. 32and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. 32วิญญาณของพวกผู้เผยพระวจนะนั้นย่อมอยู่ในบังคับพวกผู้เผยพระวจนะ

38. 33For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints, 33เพราะว่าพระเจ้าไม่ใช่พระเจ้าแห่งการวุ่นวายแต่ทรงเป็นพระเจ้าแห่งสันติสุขตามที่ปฏิบัติกันอยู่ในคริสตจักรแห่งธรรมิกชนนั้น

39. 34the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 34จงให้พวกผู้หญิงนิ่งเสียในที่ประชุมเพราะเขาไม่ได้รับอนุญาตให้พูดแต่ให้เขาอยู่ใต้บังคับบัญชาเหมือนที่ธรรมบัญญัติสั่งไว้นั้น

40. 35If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. 35ถ้าเขาอยากรู้สิ่งใดก็ให้เขาถามสามีที่บ้านเพราะว่าการที่ผู้หญิงจะพูดในที่ประชุมนั้นก็เป็นสิ่งที่น่าอาย

41. 36Or was it from you that the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has reached? 36พระวจนะของพระเจ้าเกิดมาจากพวกท่านหรือได้ประทานมาถึงท่านแต่พวกเดียวหรือ

42. 37If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. 37ถ้าผู้ใดถือว่าตนเป็นผู้เผยพระวจนะหรืออยู่ฝ่ายพระวิญญาณก็ควรยอมรับว่าข้อความซึ่งข้าพเจ้าเขียนมาถึงท่านนั้นเป็นพระบัญญัติขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า

43. 38If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized. 38แต่ถ้าผู้ใดไม่รับรู้ข้อความนี้ผู้นั้นก็ไม่ได้รับการรับรู้

44. 39So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 39เหตุฉะนั้นพี่น้องทั้งหลายจงตั้งใจปรารถนาการเผยพระวจนะที่เขาพูดภาษาแปลกๆก็อย่าห้ามเลย

45. 40But all things should be done decently and in order. 40แต่จงปฏิบัติทุกสิ่งตามระเบียบวินัยเถิด
