  1. Second Flag Killing the Play How to handle the situations that can arise from this situation and what to do with the penalized players and how to handle the restart.

Team A in possession, Flag Down on B1 for technicalfoul: • Loose ball technical foul on B2 = • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 and B2 serve 30 sec. each, Ball to Team A • Technical foul on B2 with Team A in possession = • Kill play (assuming scoring play NOT imminent), Throw flag, B1 and B2 serve 30 sec., Ball to Team A • Loose ball technical foul on Team A = • Kill play, B1 serves 30 sec., Ball to Team A • Technical foul on Team A with Team A in possession = • Kill play, B1 serves 30 sec., Ball to Team A Restart: If in defensive half of field, restart on offensive half of field at center. If in offensive half of field, at spot when whistle was blown or laterally outside goal area.

  3. Team A in possession, Flag Down on B1 for technicalfoul: • Loose ball personal foul on A2 = • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 serves 30 sec., A2 serves 1-3 min. (first 30 sec. non-releasable), Ball awarded to Team B (less penalty time) • Personal foul on A2 with Team A in possession= • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 serves 30 sec., A2 serves 1-3 min. (first 30 sec. non-releasable), Ball awarded to Team B (less penalty time) • Restart: At spot where the ball was at the time of the whistle or laterally outside the goal area.

Team A in possession, Flag Down on B1 for one minute personal foul: • Loose ball technical foul on B2 = • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 serves one minute, B2 serves 30 sec., Ball to Team A • Technical foul on B2 with Team A in possession= • Kill play (assuming scoring play NOT imminent), Throw flag, B1 serves one minute, B2 serves 30 sec., Ball to Team A • Loose ball technical foul on Team A = • Kill play, B1 serves one minute., Ball to Team A • Technical foul on Team A with Team A in possession = • Kill play, B1 serves one minute, Ball to Team A • Restart: If in defensive half of field, restart at offensive half of field at center. If in offensive half of field, at spot when whistle was blown or laterally outside goal area.

  5. Team A in possession, Flag Down on B1 for one minute personal foul: • One minute personal foul on A2 with Team A in possession= • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 and A2 serve one minute. (non-releasable), Ball awarded to Team A (had possession when whistle was blown) • Loose ball one minute personal foul on A2 = • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 and A2 serve one minute. (non-releasable), Ball awarded to Team A • Loose ball or with Team A in possession, multiple minute personal foul on A2 = • Kill play, Throw flag, B1 serves one minute, A2 serves 2-3 minutes. (common time is non-releasable), Ball awarded to Team B (less penalty time) • Restart: At spot where the ball was at the time of the whistle or laterally outside the goal area in scenarios listed above.

  6. Scoring Opportunities We will make the assumption that all of these fouls occur with a flag already down for another foul.

  7. Assume flag was thrown on slash to the back. Scoring play was imminent…and then it wasn’t - KILL IT when ball is passed behind

  8. Good example of play to kill right away – Loose ball eliminates imminent scoring play

  9. Allow this to play out until opportunity ends

  10. Slash on ride – No possibility of a scoring play - KILL IT

  11. Scoring play possible, but not imminent – KILL IT

  12. Once he turns away from the goal – KILL IT
