  1. The Full Gospel Church May 10, 2009 Vol. XIII Number 15 All I Hear is Bad News . . . Finances, Taliban and Pakistan's Nuclear Arsenal, and everything else that is a catastrophe

  2. The News Media It is well known that bad news sells newspapers and television ratings. While the news media predicts economic collapse and a threat of nuclear war even Armageddon, their ratings and profit increase. On the other hand, good news is not even considered news! Thus when you consistently barraged with a new catastrophe, you begin to believe all of the bad news being thrown at you. Lenin said, “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.”1 Thus the news that you read, hear, and watch is in reality propaganda for the news media. Would a really ethical news media endorse a politician when they are supposed to investi-gate and expose the politician's lies? Thus when the media endorses a candidate, they only report good news about the endorsed candidate and bad news about the opponent. 1. http://www.quotationspage.com/quote/838.html

  3. Bad News Causes Depression When all you hear is how bad everything is, after a while you begin to believe it. Is it any wonder that more and more of the population is suffering depression? They are inundated daily with stories of economic collapse, Armaged-don, and how awful everything is. The Bible on the other hand tells us the good news about a risen Savior who died on the cross just so that you and I could have eternal life. While the news media ridicules the Christian community, they are doing it because they feel that any group that preaches salvation through Jesus Christ is a fringe organization and in need of investigation. The news media is telling you that sin is good and Christian righteousness is evil. Thus the news media is in reality an agent of Satan.

  4. Jesus Christ and the Good News When Jesus Christ is your savior and redeemer, you have a positive outlook on life and the world while those around you are getting more depressed all of the time. While your friends do not know Jesus Christ, all they have is the news media to believe in. Is it any wonder that so many of your friends and family are so depressed? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other way to gain salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way! The media world would have you to believe that the Christians are fruit cakes, but how many depressed born again Christians do you know? When you have Jesus as your savior, you have real hope and not just some politician's false promise. Jesus will bring you real joy into your life. He gives you real hope and redemption from sin. When I was filled with the Holy Ghost, my whole outlook on life changed. All of a sudden, the world looked brighter and better. Though the world was the same, my perception of it changed because I had a new life in Jesus Christ the Lord.

  5. 2 Corinthians 5:1-21 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)‏ 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

  6. Jesus the Cure Jesus is the cure for your depression. The drugs, the booze, and the smoke that you use just cover up your despair and depression. Real relief and hope comes only through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It does not come through religion, politics, government, or any-thing else. Jesus is your only true hope and leader. The only things that the politicians give you is a false hope and a false promise to make things better. The politician wants catastrophes and problems so that he can promise to make them better. While you are wallowing in the mire clay like a pig wallows in the mud, think about a real solution to your problems. Jesus can pick you out of the mire clay and set your feet upon solid ground.

  7. He Brought Me Out He Brought Me Out My heart was distressed 'neath Jehovah's dread frown, And low in the pit where my sins dragged me down; I cried to the Lord from the deep miry clay, Who tenderly brought me out to golden day. He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah! He placed me upon the strong Rock by His side, My steps were established and here I'll abide; No danger of falling while here I remain, But stand by His grace until the crown I gain. He gave me a song, 'twas a new song of praise; By day and by night its sweet notes I will raise; My heart's overflowing, I'm happy and free. I'll praise my Redeemer, who has rescued me. I'll sing of His wonderful mercy to me, I'll praise Him till all men His goodness shall see; I'll sing of salvation at home and abroad, Till many shall hear the truth and trust in God.
