  1. A book to help adults to understand the world of teenage girls… Odd Girl Out

  2. Girls and Popularity…is it really worth it? From typically 6th grade on some girls deal with the effects of being bullied on a regular basis… Surprisingly, the bullies tend to be a close friend or close group of friends. Teachers seem to be oblivious to the signs that something may be going on… Truth…

  3. The bullies vs the victims • In predominately white schools the abuse given by bullies tends to be on the quiet side. Starting rumors, writing on bathroom walls, sending letters to the victims home… • In predominately African-American schools the abuse is more physical and outward. • Wanting to be part of the popular group… • Keep going back to the ones who bully them because they feel they have no where to go… • They don’t feel like they can tell anyone because no one will believe them… • Sometimes end up becoming a bully later in life…

  4. I like you… I don’t like you… • When girls are in the “I like you” mode they seem to be best friends…constantly hanging out, stating they are best friends, sharing secrets, etc… • When girls have entered the “I don’t like you” mode they can turn on the “victim” and make their life absolutely horrible for as long as they feel like it… “Friends…sometimes…”

  5. This book will answer many questions pertaining to teenage girls and their trials and tribulations through adolescents… When debating which direction to take in helping your daughters or students through this period in their lives … CHOOSE ODD GIRL OUT!!! A great buy!!!

  6. A necessity for every mother/middle grades teacher and their teenage daughters/students… Odd Girl Out
