Ratio & Proportion: Main Concepts • Ratio: The ratio of a to b is a numberthat describes a and b’s relationship. • Proportion:The proportions of a figure are ratios that describe the relationships of its measurements. • Iff two figures have equal proportions……they have the same shape. a and bmust be in the same units This equation is called a proportion, too.
