  4. Challenge Program (CP) on Water and Food The immediate objectives are as follows: Food security for all at household level. • Poverty alleviation, in rural and peri-urban areas. • Improved health, and reduced water-related diseases. • Environmental security, through improved water quality.

Past Research Activities • Issue identification for Initiation of dialogue on Water, Food and Environment in ERRB • Evaluation of Small Holder Irrigation (drip) for IDE/Nepal (2001) • Evaluations of CARE’s Irrigation Programmes in Aandhi Khola Watershed Area (2000) • Management of Soil Erosion Consortium (MSEC) in collaboration with NARC (2000) • Cont.
