  9. Use our hashtag! #I_JOINED • Use the theme of “I Joined” to get people involved: • Ask new donors to join in by making a gift to United Way. A gift of $100 is just $1.81 per week! • Ask past donors to continue their gift and join in our new mission. • Ask employees why they join in “Breaking the Cycle of Poverty.” • Get creative with I joined stories, videos and posters! • Set a goal for number of new donors. • Ask your company to join in and match all new gifts to United Way!   14. What is a workforce campaign? • A workforce campaign gives employees the opportunity to make charitable contributions through payroll deduction—an easy, affordable and convenient way to give. ECM Training 2016

  16. Will I have help? • Don’t run your campaign alone! Involve andrecruit others. • Your United Way Campaign Executive or yourEngagement Manager will also help you prepare, plan, promote, launch and celebrate your campaign. ECM Training 2016

  18. What do I need to know about United Way of Snohomish County? • Gifts made to our United Way are put to work right here in Snohomish County through our Local Community Fund. • Donors may also direct their gift to another United Way, or to any registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. ECM Training 2016

  20. Before the CampaignGet CEO support! • Meet with your CEO/leadership to ensure you have support. • Ask about a corporate gift. • Determine if you have a budget. • Recruit a campaign team. ECM Training 2016

  21. Before the CampaignBuild your plan and set a goal! • Meet with your United Way representative and campaign team. • Set goals (dollars, participation, etc.). • Determine if you will hold any special events. • Schedule presentations. • Identify tools you’ll need. ECM Training 2016
