  1. Tourism Since ancient times people have been travelling from one destination to another. Some in search of knowledge, some on a pilgrimage, some in search of new opportunities, some to start a new life, some just to explore new places and some just for leisure. In 21st century as well people are travelling for the same reasons. Whenever anybody travels there are few basic requirements. These are mode of transport, food and accommodation. Due to the development in these basic requirements and of course the destination the tourism industry is flourishing. Today we can travel by road, rail, sea and air as per our convenience. We can eat in fancy restaurant or a tempting side by food stall. We can stay in a grand hotel or opt for a cozy home stay. Tourism in today's economy has become a multi billion dollar industry. The opportunist have tapped into every sector and are catering to education tourism, business tourism, sports tourism, leisure tourism, health and wellness tourism, religious tourism etc. The tourism industry has developed into a service industry providing an experience to the customers. With the development of technology and travelers becoming more aware and educated the industry is becoming more competitive. India is well known for its hospitality and tourism. Whether you go north, south, east or west travelers get to experience rich cultures, great hospitality and beautiful terrains filled with interesting species of flora and fauna.

  2. Tourism in India There are 28 states and 8 union territories in India. Each of the states and the union territories have their own unique culture, diverse landscapes and an ecosystem to explore. Tourism in India is a way of welcoming people into their corridors to experience life while rejuvenating themselves and having fun. Tourism in India is not only a way of extending unity and harmony but also a major source of income for the economy. Thus tourism brings stability , growth and development in India.

  3. Uttarakhand Tourism Uttarakhand state a popular tourist destination is situated in the Indian Himalayas. It is divided into Garhwal and Kumaon region. The state has a multiethnic population and the main languages spoken are hindi, garhwali, kumaoni, jaunsari, nepali, punjabi, bengali, urdu and bhojpuri. The state has a rich old culture with a blend of modernity. The state has a good infrastructure with metalled roads, railway networks, airports connecting all the locations. Travelers wouldn’t face any accommodation problem as they can easily find hotels, home stays, hostels and rented rooms. And if you are a foodie there are plenty of delicious cuisines to try . Uttarakhand is a major tourist destination for pilgrimage to places such as Haridwar, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The main cities visited by the tourist are Nainital, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Ranikhet and Kausani. Uttarakhand is also a destination for nature and adventure lovers. People can trek to Valley Of Flowers National Park and enjoy the beautiful creations of nature or explore the wild life in Jim Corbett National Park and Rajaji National Park. People who like adrenaline pumping through their veins can engage in activities like river rafting, bungee jumping, rock climbing and paragliding
