Conclusions of the Last Meeting • The WGCD decided: • To hold a joint meeting with the ADL WG at the Annual Conference in Paris; • To assist the ADL WG in peer review according to specific requirements; • To offer Reference Curricula as reference tools to other Working/Study Groups. • To encourage members of the WGCD and other Working/Study Groups to contribute to the Virtual Defence University Study Project—where applicable—which is led by Walter Christman;

Conclusions of the Last Meeting • With regard to Reference Curricula, the WGCD took decision on: • Finalizing the RefCurr on National Security • Revising the RefCurr on Peace Support Operation to be discussed again at the next WGCD meeting in Hamburg • To draft a first version of a RefCurr on International Humanitarian Law • To reconsider the subjects of the curricula still to be drafted against the curricula already developed to avoid overlapping and redundancies

Conclusions of the Last Meeting • With regard to accreditation, mutual recognition, validation, the WGCD decided: • To focus primarily on international accreditation which includes mutual recognition of teaching elements (compensation of own training) and recognition of (institutional/national) diplomas; • To envisage an report of experts to further approach the Conference of Commandants to consider future steps.

What do you see as important to be included? • Background, Threat assessment, Definitions • Where do you see differences with regard to target groups, definitions, and objectives? • Where can you see difference to curricula taught in your institutions or in the national context?

  15. Reference Curricula – Questions • What can be taken as commodities—as common denominator? • What could be defined as a common ground? What could be considered as the "core"? • What course structure does best cover the main aspect of a topic? • What teaching sequences has to be considered? How should be guided through a topic? How should the items be addressed? • What is the latest literature in this field? Which books should be compulsory?
