Main Activity: • Reference Curricula: • Discussion and Design of Reference Curricula • National Security Policy • Peace Support Operation • International Humanitarian Law • Revealing Commonalities and Differences • Products: 3 Reference Curricula, available in hard-copy and online (www.pfpconsortium.org/wgcd)

  4. Side Activities: • Accreditation, Mutual Recognition, Validation: • To focus primarily on international accreditation which includes mutual recognition of teaching elements (compensation of own training) and recognition of (institutional/national) diplomas; • To envisage an report of experts to further approach the Conference of Commandants to consider future steps.

  5. Side Activities: • Collaboration with the Inter-University Steering Committee on Security Studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (CSS) • Joint meeting in Sarajevo, Sept. 2001 • Participation of CSS members in WGCD

  6. Side Activities: • Re-Design of the WGCD Website • Technical adaptions • Re-design of the layout • Up-dating according to WGCD activities.

  7. Side Activities: • VDU Study Project • Suspended by Project Leader, Walter Christman • WGCD not adaquate forum for such a project • This project should be addressed on a PfP Consortium wide level • Joint Meeting with ADL WG as result of the studies

  8. The Way Ahead • Next Meetings: • 25-27 September 2002Land Forces Academy, Sibiu, Romania • March 2003TBD • Focus: • Further Development of Reference Curricula • Questions of Curricula Implementation (in-house courses / ADL)

  9. Joint Meeting: Purposes • explore mutual and common interests • explore fields of cooperation • introduce ADL in curriculum development • stress the lead of quality assurance in curriculum development (classroom and ADL)
