  2. Important points • Filters can be utilized to generate reports based on specific criteria • Subgroups can only be used to generate reports if you create a subgroup filter

  3. Types of filters • Demographic filter • Build a filter based on specific demographic information entered from the About My Class enrollment form such as grade level, gender, ethnicity, delivery type, etc. • Subgroup filter • Build a filter based on specific schools, locations, etc. to generate reports for students who received education at those sites

  4. Example #1 Scenario: This program year, you have enrolled 2,000 students. Of the 2,000 students, you would like to generate a report only for those who identify as Hispanic/Latino between grades K-2.

  5. Adding New Filters Select Filters from the Setup menu in the Youth section

  6. Select Add Filter

  7. Name and describe the filter

  8. Type of filter

  9. Set filter criteria: • Hispanic • Grades K-2

  10. Save filter

  11. Generating a Youth Summary Report Select Youth Summary from the Reports menu in the Youth section

  12. Select filter To include all currently available data in the system, leave the begin and end dates blank

  13. Generating a Youth Checklist Summary Report Select Youth Checklist Summary from the Reports menu in the Youth section

  14. Select filter To include all currently available data in the system, leave the begin and end dates blank

  15. Example #2 Scenario: You just concluded administering the post-education Eat Well + Move evaluation to a second grade class. The teacher has asked you for a summary of her students’ behavior changes pre and post-nutrition education.

  16. Adding New Subgroups Select Subgroups from the Setup menu in the Youth section

  17. Select Add Youth Subgroup

  18. Name and describe the subgroup

  19. Adding a subgroup filter Select Filters from the Setup menu in the Youth section

  20. Select Add Filter

  21. Name and describe the filter

  22. Type of filter

  23. Select the subgroup you would like to filter

  24. Save filter

  25. Generating reports using subgroup filters Before a report can be generated using a subgroup filter, the subgroup must first be assigned to the group or groups in which the subgroup applies

  26. Assigning Subgroups Select Manage Youth Groups from the Youth Groups section

  27. Edit Youth Group

  28. Select ENTRY & EXIT DATA

  29. Assign the subgroup

  30. Generating a Youth Summary Report Select Youth Summary from the Reports menu in the Youth section

  31. Select filter To include all currently available data in the system, leave the begin and end dates blank
