Examples of Support and Mentoring Programs Students receive intensive mentoring in Years 7, 9 & 12 Year 7 • A Peer Support Program operates where Year 7 students are paired with selected, trained Year 11 students who meet weekly across Term 1 for structured peer support activities choices for students within a group environment Year 9 • The mentors come from the Australian Business and Community Network (large companies) who have put resources into improving educational opportunities for schools with areas of high need. A structured mentoring and excursion program widens personal, educational and vocational choices for students within a group environment Year 10/11 • SCOPE / Leadership programs(Technology Enterprise And Mathematics)

Year 12 - HSC Support • All Year 12 students have a teacher mentor for the year and meet with them regularly for support and advice • Free tutorials, workshops and study days are also provided in holidays as additional enrichment in faculty areas based on student surveys of HSC need. This program lifts and adds polish to HSC performance, and is free to all students. Presenters are experts in their field. Indigenous Students • Indigenous Students in Years 9 to 12 are provided with mentors (University Students). In Years 11 and 12, this includes free weekly tutoring. Leadership camps and homework centres are also offered. • AIME Program offers students opportunities to be mentored and coached by University students • NASCA Program provides opportunities in sport and being coached by members of the South Sydney NRL squad • Young Mobs Leadership Program
