  1. Design of a Two Degree-of-freedom Ankle-Foot Orthosis for Robotic Rehabilitation Sunil K. Agrawal, Professor; Abhishek Agrawal and Sai K. Banala, Graduate Students, University of Delaware;Stuart A. Binder-Macleod, Professor, University of Delaware • An ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) is used to help subjects with weakness of ankle dorsiflexor muscles. • An innovative AFO was designed to allow two dof motion: dorsiflexion-plantarflexion and inversion-eversion, while serving to maintain proper foot position for subjects. • The joint axes in the orthosis is aligned to the human joint axes, using the human anthropomorphic data. Assembled ankle-foot orthosis with the shank and the foot brace.
