  2. History • The white house was asymbol of presidency for the last 200 years • The construction of the white house began on Oct. of 1792 and was nearly finished in the 1800. • George Washington was the only president who didn’t live in the white house.

  3. Continue of History • The white house survived from a fire when the British lit it on fire during the war of 1812 • Presidents can express their self by decorating the white house in anything they want. • Thomas Jefferson held the first open of the white house in 1805.

  4. Continue of History • The white house has 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, and 6 levels in the residence. • There are also 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircase, and 3 elevator. • President T. Roosevelt gave the name of the white house.
