Follow the steps in order to get the exchange rate for your country: Box 1: 1 Box 2: America (United States), Dollar (USD) Box 3: <Find your country and choose it.> Box 4: Go! Put the exchange rate here: 1.00 USD = Don’t forget to round to the nearest penny!

  5. Using your exchange rate, calculate the cost to go to the movies using your country’s currency. You must show all of your work! An example is included on the next page:

Check your work • Go to http://www.xe.com/ucc/ • In the Amount box, type in your total cost for the movies in U.S dollars. • Make sure the FROM button says USD –U.S. Dollar. • Make sure the TO button says your country’s currency. • Click Convert. The number should match the total you came up with using your proportions.
