  2. Early Life • Lil Hardin Armstrong was born on Febuary 3,1898 in the city of Memphis,Tennessee. • In the year of 1917 her family moved to Chicago,Illinois.

  3. Lil & Louis • Lil and Louis Armstrong met in1921 and were married in 1924. • They played in several different bands together. • They separated in 1931and divorced in1938.

  5. Death • When Louis had died she attended his funeral in New York City. When she returned to Chicago she collapsed and died while playing “St.Louis Blues”.
