  2. The Early Years… Neil Armstrong was born in August 5th, 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He liked to explore space. He has a bachelor’s degree in a aerospace engineering from Purdue University.

  3. Why is Neil Armstrong famous? Neil was the first person to ever land on the moon. He flew in outer space and collected moon rocks and took them back earth to study them. He flew a rocket ship and saw all of the planets. He put a small flag in top of the moon.

  4. The Later Years… When Neil was two years old he watched a airplane race. As he grew he started making airplane ten-cent airplane models and reading flying magazines. When he thirteen years old his family moved to a big white house on Benton Street in Wapakoneta.

  5. Neil Armstrong’s impact on other’s lives… He was a hero to millions of people. People have seen him on TV. Many people heard that he went to moon and gathered rocks to study them. People also heard that Neil earned his student pilot`s license on his 16th birthday.

  6. My Opinions I think Neil Armstrong is a hero. He learned to do many thing he needed to. He earned his student pilot`s license. In time he became a navy fighter pilot in the Korean War. When he became an astronaut there was a plan to land people on the moon and then return them safely to earth.
