Welcome! • Meetings will be every other Tuesday at 7pm • Tentative Schedule • September 4: Welcome/Info, Kaplan/DAT introduction • September 18: Career Services • October 2: Military Dentists • October 16: Course Request • October 30: Specialty Dentists • November 13: DAT Workshop • November 27: New River Valley Free Clinic • December 11: General Dentist

  4. Membership Requirements • Submit Membership Application • Pay $10 Dues • Attend 4 Meetings • Attend 1 Social Event • Attend 2 Service/Fundraising Events

Service Events • Gobblerfest: • Friday, September 7th 4-8pm • Sign up on Google Doc • Delta Dental Miles for Smiles 5K: • Satruday, September 15th @ 9:00am • $20 Registration Fee, Proceeds got o MOM Project • Deadline to register: September 13th • Grundy MOM Project: • Saturday, October 6th- Sunday, October 7th • Deadline to register: Saturday, September 23rd • Supply Drive: • Sunday, October 28th 10-2pm • Kroger on Main St. • Mentoring Program: • E-mail communication, meet twice with mentee • Survey will be sent out • Elementary Schools Oral Health Education

  6. Social Events • Ice Cream Social • Tuesday, October 16th after meeting • Hot Cocoa & S ’mores at Deets • Tuesday, November 6th at 7pm • Holiday Social • Tuesday, December 11th after meeting

  7. Speak to a Freshman Class • HNFE introduction class • Mondays at 4:00 • Tuesdays at 11:00 • Email Erin if interested (erinb92@vt.edu)

  8. Crack DAT scholarship • Requirements: • 1-2 page essay • Resume or CV • Unofficial transcript • 2 x 2 picture • DAT score report • 1 minute video clip (optional but recommended) • Deadline: September 30 at 5:00 p.m.

  9. Personal Statement Workshops • Thursday Oct. 11th 3 – 4:30 • Monday Oct. 22nd 3 – 4:30 • Writing Center, Newman Library (2nd floor)
