  1. S3 Profiling and the Profile Priority 1 Developing the new Curriculum S3 Pupil Profile will inform Staff and pupils about progression and transition into Senior phase

  2. S3 Profiling and the Profile • Completed S3 Pupil Profiles will reflect pupils’ achievements in literacy, numeracy and health and well being: across curricular areas and include wider achievements in and out- with the school curriculum.

  3. S3 Profiling and the Profile Profiles have been introduced at key transition points : End of early years P3 P7 S3 N.B. Pupil’s Profile at S3 should reflect their achievement S1-3

  5. S3 Profiling and the Profile The Profile should according toBtC5: • Be a positive snapshot of the whole learner and from the learner’s point of view. • Be a reflective statement of the achievement of the learner which publicly recognises their progress in learning - aims to focus on skills

S3 Profiling and the Profile • Improve a learner’s self awareness, improve dialogue between pupil and class teachers and build on skills of reflecting on learning. • Allow pupils the opportunity to celebrate their own achievements and should include a range of achievements, wider than formal qualifications.

  7. S3 Profiling and the Profile The Profiling process is not the same as the profile. • The process is part of everyday learning and teaching- learning logs, personal learning plans, diaries, blogs. • Supports learning, motivates learners and develops dialogue between learner and teacher.
