  2. How People Got Around They got around by pod and by pung. A pod is a sleigh pulled by a horsebuggie. A pung is a sleigh pulled by 2 horses. No one in colonial days traveled just for fun. There was no easy way to travel. There were no buses, cars, trains, or planes.

  3. How did people get across It was easy for an Indian to walk across a log bridge. An Indian was used to it. But a colonial man was not. And so he might find himself off the bridge and in the water.

  4. How did two men travel when they had only one horse? Suppose there were two men and one horse. One man was William and the other was John. They wanted to get to the next town. But the horse was not strong enough to carry William and John at the same time.
