  3. What is the Difference between Major and Natural Minor Scale?

  4. Major Scale Revision Draw the circle of 5ths in your book with the table of sharps and flats in order. 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 5 5 6

  5. Step 1 Write the scale from the tonic to the octave on the staff.

  6. Step 2 Add accidentals according to the circle of fifths. For example, the key of D has 2 sharps, f# and C#.

  7. Task In your workbook, notate the C major and Bb major scales using the correct accidentals from the circle of fifths.

  8. Task 1. Circle the octaves of C 2. Fill in the notes of the C Major Scale on the guitar fret board.

  9. Natural Minor Scale Every major scale has a relative minor scale, this scale is called the natural minor scale. The major scale and its relative minor share the same key signature. To find the natural minor scale relative to each major scale, count three places around the circle of fifths.

  11. Task In your workbook, writeone sentence describing where the major scales and minor scales are on the circle of fifths.

  12. Step 1 Write the scale from the starting note to the finishing note on the staff.

  13. Step 2 Add accidentals according to the circle of fifths. For example, the F natural minor scale has 4 flats, Bb, Eb, Ab and Db.

  14. Task Notate the scales E natural minorand C natural minor in your workbook. Use the correct accidentals according to the inner circle of the circle of fifths.

  15. Task 1. Circle the octaves of E 2. Fill in the E Natural Minor Scale on the guitar fret board.

  16. Prac Play two octaves up and down of the E Natural Minor Scale. Make sure you get assessed on playing two octaves.
