VENUES AND DATES • JUNIOR FINALS U/14s AND U16s • Week One: Semi Finals: • Saturday/Sunday 16thand 17th August • Venues: Inverleigh, Newcomb, St.Josephs, Belmont, Lara. • Week Two: Preliminary Finals: • Saturday/Sunday 23rd and 24th August • Venues: Modewarre, Grovedale • Week Three: Grand Finals: • Saturday/Sunday 30th and 31st August • Venue: Bell Park

  3. VENUES AND DATES CONT:COLTS FINALS • Week One • Divisions 2, 3, 4, 5 • Sat 23rd& Sun 24thAugust • Week One • Division 1 • Sat 30th & Sun 31stAugust

DRAWN MATCHES IN FINALS * There will no drawn games in finals * If scores are level at the end of regulation time, there will be two(2) five(5) minutes halves of EXTRA TIME * Team will be kicking to the same end they kicked to in the fourth quarter * Coaches are allowed to address their teams in between the last quarter and that start of the first period of extra time. Teams MUSTbe in position by the time the goal umpires return to their respective ends. At the end of the first period of extra time there is to be an immediate change of ends. Coaches will not be permitted to address their teams. * In the event that scores are still tied at the end of extra time, play will recommence (without a change of ends) the first team to score will be the winner.

JUNIOR FINALS CONTINUED… • The GFUL will be appointing Boundary and Goal Umpires to all finals matches • In the U14s, when the ball goes Out Of Bounds the Field umpire is still required to throw the ball up, as per regular season. The boundary umpire is there only judge if the ball is Out of Bounds or Out on Full.

JUNIOR FINALS CONTINUED… • Match Times for all U14 and U16 matches are as per regular season, Colts matches have slight adjustments • U14’s • 4x15 minute quarters with NO time on; • Breaks- 1st and 3rd Quarters (5) minutes, half time (10min) • U16’s • 4x18 minute quarters with NO time on; • Breaks- 1st and 3rdQtrs (5) minutes, half time (10) minutes • Colts • 4x16 minute quarters PLUS time on; • Breaks 1st and 3rdQtrs (5) minutes, half time (10) minutes.

JUNIOR FINALS CONTINUED… • Please be at your appointed ground no later than 45 minutes before your game • Upon arrival at your ground you are to report your arrival to the GFUL ground manager • If you are running late you will need to contact the ground manager. • If you are appointed to any game where you are required to be at the pick up point 25 Myers St, please be there at least five minutes prior to departure. If you are going to find your own way to your appointment please inform the Car driver of your intentions • The GFUL require all umpires to be dressed neat casual for finals games. If you have a GFUL match day polo shirt please wear it. Look respectable

ROLE OF GOAL UMPIRES • The Goal Umpires are the Sole Judge of a score • The GFUL appointed goal umpires, are required to manage and record times. • Before game and at half time, the goal umpires should be informing umpiring team approximately how long before you are to be on the ground. Please adhere to their advice.

  9. ROLE OF GFUL COACHES AT FINALS • GFUL Coaches will be present at all finals matches. Match Day coaching will consist of support and minor tips/ suggestions/ adjustments. • GFUL Coaches may also be acting in the role of Match Day Managers.

  10. ROLE OF ALLUMPIRES • Finals are not handed out to anyone. Many players never have an opportunity to participate in finals for their entire careers. Many umpires are lucky enough to be an integral part of finals every year. • You have earned the opportunity for Finals and Grand Finals through your commitment and efforts throughout the season. HAVE FUN, RELAX AND ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE
