  2. Here is some wedding vocabulary to learn: • The Wedding PartyThe wedding party refers to all of the people who are in the wedding. These people typically stand at the front during the ceremony. They often wear clothing that matches the theme of the wedding. They also sit with the couple for dinner.

Match the people with the descriptions: 1) bride: a) young female child who carries the flowers2) groom: b) young male child who carries the wedding rings 3) best man: c) bride’s best friend or closest family member(witness to the marriage)4) maid of honour: d) other male friends or family members who stand up with the groom5) groomsmen: e) groom’s best friend or closest family member (witness to the marriage) 6) bridesmaids: f) other female friends or family members who stand up with the bride7) flower girl: g) woman getting married 8) ring bearer: h) man getting married
